Junior Fire Academy Class 7

The Waretown Volunteer Fire Company's 7th Annual Junior Fire Academy has kicked off!
Recruits of the Junior Fire Academy have participated in tons of hands on activities including advancing hose-lines, ladder throws and placement, search and rescue and even arson investigation!

We are monitoring impending storms this evening and through the weekend due to Tropical Storm Debby as she continues to move along the east coast. Several inches of rain is expected over the next 72 hours, this will include significant rainfall, high winds, and tides along the Bay will be higher then usual tides.

Due to widespread power outages that started at 5 pm June 26, the Fire Company responded to several alarms during the course of the power failure.

Reported Boater In Distress
Waretown Fire, June 25
Waretown Fire Company along with Ocean Township Police and NEMA EMS were dispatched to the area of Privateer Drive for a boat that was sinking. Crews quickly determined that it was a vessel that has been abandoned outside Oyster Creek last year.
