At approximately 1859 hours the Waretown Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to the 1100 block of Wells Mills Road for a motor vehicle accident. While responding, Ocean County Communications advised responding units that Ocean Township Police was on scene with a well-involved vehicle fire. Shortly after, crews from Engine 3631 and 3601 as well as Chief 3600 arrived and located a vehicle that had crashed, significantly damaging a telephone pole causing the vehicle to catch fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and units awaited Atlantic City Electric's arrival to address the electrical hazard.
