On October 22nd, 2025, Chief Leaming and Lieutenant Hawk attended a fire safety conference in Greenbriar Oceanaire. Residents of the community were provided with wildland fire prevention tactics and strategies by the New Jersey State Forest Fire Service and a comprehensive overview of home fire safety by Lieutenant Hawk to wrap up this year's Fire Prevention Month, which focuses on lithium battery safety.
